FIRST... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.
FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS I HAVE HELPED WITH A MINISTRY IN LOS GUIZAROS, COSTA RICA. SIX DAYS A WEEK WE SERVE LUNCH TO ABOUT 30 TO 70 CHILDREN, FOR ABOUT 20% THIS IS THEIR MAIN MEAL EVERY DAY AND FOR THE REST IT'S THE BIGGEST MEAL FOR THE DAY.
EVERY CHRISTMAS WE PUT ON A CHRISTMAS PROGRAM FOR ABOUT 800 CHILDREN. 400 TO 500 IN LOS GUIZAROS AND ANOTHER 300 IN THREE OTHER LOCATIONS. IT TAKES THREE DAYS DOING THIS AND A LOT OF DRIVING, BUT WITH YOUR HELP EVERY YEAR WE ARE ABLE TO GIVE A PRESENT, LUNCH (HOT DOGS, RICE AND CHICKEN AND ICE CREAM)AND THE WORD OF GOD TO ABOUT 800 CHILDREN. THIS TAKES A LOT OF PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER, SOME AS FAR AWAY AS CANADA, BUT TOGETHER AS GOD'S SERVANTS IT ALL COMES TOGETHER... PRAISE GOD!!

BACK COUNTRY MISSION, NOV 2011

Hello my friends, family and supporters,

This past week (in November) was an adventure in patience, perseverance, learning, and experiencing God's mercy...oh did I mention patience??

A fellow missionary (Ana)here in Costa Rica, needed help in repairing her ministry camp in the wilderness near the Nicaraguan border. it had been flooded, and one boat had been destroyed also.

It's about 1/2 hour river trip, but that's after a 1 hour driving over one of the bumpiest road I've driven on here in Costa Rica into the wilderness. From my center, near San Jose, it's about a 2&1/2 hr trip to Ana's house. Sunday we drove to Ana's house where we stayed the night.
I took 3 of the men from me center, and after I eliminated the men who couldn't go, three of them volunteered. One (Louise) has changed all together for Christ and is a good worker and leader, (knows construction), the other two are working on it, and are good workers.
Monday the four of us packed in my truck (type SUV) and after 1 & 1/2hours we arrived at the river. After packing the boat with supplies, we took a 1/2 hour boat trip up river to the ministry camp. The river is about 30ft high right now, and the stairs at the landing have been pretty much destroyed, so to get from the boat to the landing we us a 15ft rope to pull are way up the embankment using what is left of the old stairway, plus all the supplies. Wow, it was a little hairy.!!
After all that, I instructed the men on what was needed to repair the stairway from the river to the landing. I showed them how to do it and gave them enough other work for the week. After lunch, Ana, me and the boat driver headed back to town to buy more building material and to get the trailer to haul cement block plus cement plus rock and sand in buckets(to mix the cement) up to the dock.
Back in town I get a trailer hitch welded on my truck, (Ana's 4x4 brakes are gone). the guy finishes installing the hitch as it's getting dark. when I drive away, my lights don't work and my battery is discharging and my starter quit working. At first I thought the welder screwed it up, but after checking he was off the hook.
Now I had to find a person who could cut the hole in the metal hitch for the towing ball, it was 5pm, and find a car Electrician... Good Luck!!?? In the dark I drive from one place to another ... very slowly with only parking lights. Everyone is helpful and they direct me to a good Mechanic.. He's closed (6pm)

The next day Ana is going to San Jose to have an eye operation, I was to take her, but no car, as my car is at the electricians garage. Ana leaves on the bus, all is OK.
I wait around till 3:30 when he calls me... car is ready.... He had to rebuild the starter and the generator and fix a few wires. It runs great and all for just $100.00, that's $400 in the states, maybe more.
I help buy chicken feed, rice, beans and coffee for the camp. We then load the trailer (5:30pm)with all the material, about 600lbs of material plus four men. We hook it up to my Galloper and off we go to the river. the road allows about 15mph. We unload at the dock, in the dark (after 7:00pm) I hold the lights as the men load the boat. I start back alone,(8pm) and about half way back ... hahaha.... the trailer hitch falls off!!!! It's raining... After a bit I praise God and give thanks, that it held together till after we delivered the material... I flatten the tires to help prevent stealing, and drive back to the house and bed.
In the morning I get the guy to re-weld the hitch, but with heavier welding rod. He feels bad... I then head out to to retrieve the trailer... Praise God it was still there. I fill the tires with air and return to the house. By then the boat arrives in town with the missionary couple who are helping Ana at the camp. Ana also returns on the bus from San Jose and using the trailer again we haul a freezer and bags of cement from the house to the boat and load it up.
They head up river, and I start heading back to San Jose.I will return the following Sunday to retrieve the men from the camp. All in all it was a great adventure with God and a learning time for all. I know they are learning a lot while working / serving our Lord in the back woods. It will help in there self esteem and build up there character and faith in there recovery as they see God in Action, all around them.

Five days later I pick the men up and we head home. They had installed most of the top part of the stairway and fixed some other fixtures at the camp

MY DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AND ALL WHO SUPPORT GODS MISSION HERE IN COSTA RICA .

MOST OF YOU KNOW, THAT ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I HAD A DENTAL PROBLEM, AND A WEEK LATER MY TURBO broke on my 4X4 SUV, WHICH LEFT ME CAR-LESS.
TO FIX MY TEETH WOULD COST AROUND $1000.00 (NEW partials)... (IMPLANTS ABOUT $15,000.)
DUE To ALL YOUR PRAYERS I NOW HAVE NEW AND STRONGER partials... YAHOO I CAN EAT AGAIN>>>> THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH.

THE CAR WAS ANOTHER STORY. MY RIGHT KNEE HAS KINDA GIVEN UP WORKING without pain. So it is very difficult to use the clutch.
Friends of mine here in Costa Rica (missionaries) have been urging me to buy a small car for economic reasons. They donated $3500. for that purpose, but when I started looking for a small used car with an automatic transmission the price went up and i was a little worried, and as I sat at a small cafe internet looking on line for cars with one of the men from the rehab center, (He reads better Spanish than I)....When a visiting missionary over heard my problem and donated the needed funds as we talked. He wire transferred the funds the following week.. I was left very humbled after experiencing "God In Action" so quickly and completely. I now have a automatic, 93 Toyota Corona and it runs great... hmmm Praise God.

Please pray for Costa Rica and all Central America, as the rain storms are causing a lot of damage and displacing thousands of families every week. Pray for my center and the area I live in, as the Electrical has been going out a lot, which is hard on everybody. And it's very cold + wet, the children suffer the most.

The men at the rehab center (God In Action Ministry)are doing OK in general. Please pray for My right hand man , Gabriel, He has changed a lot while here, his faith in God grows stronger every day, but he has some problems from the past that have come to haunt him. He has a past crime that he was on probation for, but the judges in San Jose has over turned a three year (after he has been good for 3 years) probation sentence, and now, want to give him 3 years in jail. Needless to say he is very worried about this. He is still young in Christ and is having a hard time trusting his faith in believing God is in charge no matter what happens. If anybody would like to help him through email with advice or with a lawyer, please let me know. keith.peace777@gmail.com ....

OH YA, Here's a little news flash, kinda a bummer.

I DON'T THINK I TOLD YOU BUT LAST SAT I DROVE A Mission FAMILY TO THE NICARAGUA BORDER IN MY NEW CAR... IT WORKED GREAT... THEN I STOPPED FOR TO TOP OFF MY GAS SO I COULD CHECK MY MILEAGE I GOT $11.00 OF GAS, BUT THEN (I FOUND OUT SUNDAY THAT HE RAN IT THROUGH AGAIN FOR $321.00 PUT I NEVER SAW THAT RECEIPT)
I CALLED MY BANK THINKING THEY WOULD JUST CANCELL THAT TRANSACTION...BUT NO!! THEY CANCELLED MY A T M AND LEFT ME WITH NO WAY TO GET FUNDS FROM MY BANK FOR ABOUT 10 DAYS.. ACTUALLY THE GUY PRETTY MUCH BROKE ME BY ROBBING ME..... THE BANK SAYS THEY NEED TO INVESTIGATE, THEN MAYBE I GET MY MONEY BACK. UGH,,.....ANY WAY IT'S JUST ANOTHER FORM OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE BY USING THE NEED FOR MONEY TO RUN MY MISSION..HAHA GOD AINT BROKE...I GUESS THE LITTLE PUNK (SATAN)CAN'T FIGURE THAT OUT.

Hello from Costa Rica,
I pray this finds you and your families being blessed just as you bless others through your faith in Christ.

Los Guizaros are going great, save the constant need for more funds as the cost of everything keeps going up,. We don't worry much, as we got God, but we do try to use as much discernment as possible when buying food and other needs.

God has blessed the chilldrens feeding center through other missionaries (friends of mine) who send funds every month to buy the propane, about $50.00... praise God. ONE supporter from USA sends ( through CTEN) $40 every month to help pay the Electical, and other missionaries that live in Belize, (small country in Cental America)donate $100 from there mission funds to help cover the cost of feeding the children.... Praise God, And of course all of you that support my mission in general, help support the bulk of the monthly needs.
It truely takes all of us as a family in Christ working together through prayer and love to keep this mission alive. I prayfully thank you all.

The Mens Rehab Center
HMMM; what can I say, WOW? AWSOME?..... God is doing mericals in these mens lifes even as you read this.
Example>> 3 or 4 of the men, almost every morning, get up around 4:30..5 AM to read the bible and pray for the ministry and all the mens recuperation.. hahah Praise God. With two of the men, I was close to kicking them out of the center a month ago... go figure.

New Blessings, A local Korean Church has promised to help buy food needs for the rehab center every month for the next 2 years........ AND...............
Another Christan brother and sister who live here in Costa Rica have started supporting my mission as well.

This is Pablo on the day he graduated from my center
(6 month program) this is are Pastor, Pastor Fernando, from the local Church we attend
I have been running at least $500. a month short for a long time,(and $500 a month car repairs for the last 3 months hasn't helped)
So this additional a monthly support will help me catch up, baring car repairs and other unexpected emergencies.
Oppps, I spoke to soon, the turbo on my engine just blow up, as in bang, cough cough, bye bye... SOOOO.. no transportation!! hmmm this could be a problem. I just asked how much to repair... $400 to 600... I think I will hold off for awhile......
Other missionaries here may be giving me enough money to buy a older (90 to 95) Toyota corolla, or similar. This will save me about $200.per month on gas, but limit my ability to transport people and supplies.. I can live with that for now. Please feel free to help if you'd like.

Which, speaking of....... My partials (teeth) broke awhile back, and while I was waiting to buy new ones, my left front tooth cracked and was removed... haha so I truely look like a toothless old guy hahaa... bummer;>( ( and NO.. No pictures)
Here's a blessing, ... Brothers and sisters from Calvary Chapel Jaco Beach are covering the cost of my new partials .... So pretty soon I'll just be an Old Guy again HEHEHE.

GOD IN ACTION .. HELPING IN COSTA RICA COSTA RICA

HELLO MY FRIENDS,

I HAVE BEEN A ABSENTEE BLOGGER MOST OF THIS YEAR .
HOWEVER, GOD HAS NOT BEEN, PLEASE FORGIVE ME AND READ ON!!!!

SINCE MY LAST UPDATE, GOD HAS BROUGHT TWO MISSION TEAMS TO HELP IN THIS MINISTRY. ONE IN June AND THE OTHER IN July. HE HAS ALSO INTRODUCED ME TO ANOTHER CHRISTIAN BRO ON MISSION HERE IN COSTA RICA... WE CALL HIM MIGUEL, BUT HIS REAL NAME IS KERRY.(MORE ABOUT HIM LATER.)

THE JUNE TEAM CAME FROM DELAND FlORIDA. THIS SMALL BUT FRUITFUL CHURCH HAS BEEN COMING ON MISSION HERE FOR 3 YEARS. THEY ARE ALSO ONE OF THE MAIN SUPPORTERS OF THE "CHILDREN'S BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM"
(STARTING AGAIN IN OCT 2011 THRU FEB 2012).
THE TEAM CONSISTED OF 3 GUYS AND 4 WOMEN, THE MEN AND ONE WOMAN WORKED AT THE REHAB CENTER. CINDI, WHO IS AN AWESOME WORKER TILED THE MEN'S BEDROOMS WITH THE HELP OF A COUPLE OF GUYS, AND AT THE SAME TIME THEY HELPED BUILD AN ADD ON TO THE KITCHEN WHILE THE OTHER WOMEN MINISTERED TO THE CHILDREN AND MOTHERS IN lOS GUIZAROS,TEACHING THEM HOW TO MAKE JEWELRY AND GAVE A BIBLE STUDY.
THEY ALSO VISITED ANOTHER MISSION AREA CALLED "TEJERCILLAS" WHERE THEY SUPPORT A SMALL CHURCH(WHICH IS IN A HOUSE). THE TEAM BROUGHT GIFTS AND SANG AND WORSHIPED WITH THE CHILDREN. IT WAS A BLESSINGS FOR ALL.
OK, ATTENTION FLORIDA TEAM..YOU WHERE SUPPOSED TO SEND ME MORE PHOTOS???

THE JULY TEAM CAME FROM BARTLETT BAPTIST CHURCH IN TENNESSEE. THEY HAVE SENT MISSION TEAMS TO HELP IN LOS GUIZAROS, (WHERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN 6 DAYS A WEEK,) FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS. THIS YEAR THEY SENT A DENTIST / MEDICAL TEAM AND WHAT A WONDERFUL BLESSINGS THEY WERE.
BILL, THE TEAM LEADER HELPED ORGANIZE THERE TIME HERE IN GOOD ORDER, THE DENTISTS WERE A LITTLE BUSIER THAN THE DOCTORS, BUT ALL WORKED HARD. HERE ARE SOME PHOTOS THAT REALLY TELL THE STORY.

UPDATE = SCHOOL IN COSTA RICA

LAST YEAR WE HELPED OVER 75 CHILDREN WITH UNIFORMS AND ALL THERE SCHOOL SUPPLIES SO THEY COULD CONTINUE GOING TO SCHOOL, (UNIFORMS ARE MONITORY. THE YEAR BEFORE WE HELPED OVER 53 CHILDREN. IS GOD AWESOME OR WHAT!!?? SO THIS YEAR I WAS FIGURING ON MAYBE 80 OR 90 AT THE MOST.........
LESSON??¿¿ NEVER UNDERESTIMATE OUR GOD.

WE STARTED OUT IN NOV 2010 WITH VERY LITTLE IN THE BANK FOR THE PROGRAM, BUT BY JANUARY 2011 WE HAD OVER $7,000.00. (We spent it all + some)

I ASKED A FAMILY THAT LIVES IN LOS GUIDO TO HELP ME GET THE NAMES AND SIZES OF THE CHILDREN WE HELPED LAST YEAR,(THEY ALL LIVE IN THE SAME AREA. I GAVE HERE 90 APPLICATION TO FELL OUT. A WEEK LATER SHE HANDED ME 90 APPLICATIONS COMPLETED. I ALREADY HAD 14 CHILDREN FROM THE MEN AT MY CENTER WHOM NEEDED HELP, WHICH GAVE ME A TOTAL OF 104 CHILDREN!!! . I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY... AFTER DEBATING A LITTLE, I DECIDED I HAD TO CUT BACK FROM 2 UNIFORMS PER CHILD TO 1, BECAUSE WITH THE MONEY I SAVED I WOULD BE ABLE HELP MORE CHILDREN.
I HAD RENTED THE COMMUNITY CENTER IN LOS GUIDO FOR ONE DAY, AND HAD ALL THE FAMILIES COME THERE TO PICK UP THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES. IT WORKED OUT GREAT WITH VERY LITTLE CONFUSION

I give thanks to our God for all of you, and all your hearts to help His children, because you certainly have helped in a hugh way this New Year, far beyond what I ever imagined. And we're not through!

WOW, I am still delivering stuff here and there.. I haven´t as yet done a total count , but unofficially over 150 children have received there school needs... I thunk I need more help next year.!!

I could also use more funds right now, as I have a list of another 7 CHILDREN needing school supplies.. Be it God's well. Please let me know if you can help a little more.

So guess what??¿¿ Have you ever heard of anybody running over there own laptop??¿¿ NO!!
hahah I have,........... I just did !!

I gave my laptop case to one of the men to put in my car, it was night, but my car was locked so he put it on the ground to wait for me to unlock the car... well we both got doing something else... I started my car to leave and as I backed up I felt an unusual bump and almost instantly I knew what I ran over... Yep, my full of stuff Lap Top...
I tried not to cry out so I just drove off saying over and over :: I just ran over my lap top, I just ran over my laptop, over and over until my anger subsided and I was able to praise Jesus, and forgive me, Mr dummy hahahah

So I can't get to any of my photos or programs, the hard drive was intact ,but the mother board had a heart attack zip, bang, CRACKED,,haha.. bummer.

Any way I am working on a replacement, a friend in CA fronted me the money and I got a great deal on a HP, (after discount and rebate $499.00) -- 17" screen, loaded 300 GB, (I found it at Stables.com) it sounds great, but it did put me in the hole this month, but in faith I know a computer is needed, and if this be is His well, He will get me through this OK-

GOOD NEWS IS/WAS, that 2 Christan women (2 sisters) are coming down to visit Costa Rica and my mission and tour Costa Rica for 2 weeks, (no, not with me) and she is bringing me the new laptop. They arrived on Friday the 4th. So I'm back on line

"God In action" Rehab CenterI have 12 men at the rehab center as we speak, and I have to give all the glory to our God, cus most of them seem to be really getting it. All of them have heard the message so the seeds have been planted... The rest, not my job. But prayer is...... Amen!

What is my job?¿¿ My main job is to see to there dialy care and to help them understand there addiction and how to control there urges through Jesus Christ. (Anything else is iceing on the cake.).....ho ya, and to keep order :>)

If you know of anyone (Christian Man)that speaks Spanish (or close)that has a heart for missions and can work with drug addicts and all other types of addictions. I have a need for full time help, (I would like a minimum 2 year commitment) He needs to be self supporting and motivated. I provide R & B at my center with a private room. Must be able to live in third world type environment with love and understanding.

Feeding the Children at LOS QUIZAROS is an on going blessing as it continúes to grow. We not only have the regular Saturday morning program for the children, but also have an Saturday afternoon teenage bible Study and activity program going.
Cecilia has built (through donations) and opened a computer lab and Internet cafe for the children and community above her home.

THIS PAST YEAR WAS FILLED WITH GOD'S BLESSINGS. THERE WERE A FEW SIT BACKS, BUT GOD TOOK US THROUGH THEM.

BUT FIRST, LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT YOU HELPED GIVE FOR CHRISTMAS TO OVER 850 CHILDREN IN THREE DIFFERENT SMALL TOWNS IN COSTA RICA. WE STARTED AT LOS QUIZAROS (WHERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN) AND ENDED UP IN A TOWN ON THE WAY TO LIMON', WHICH IS ON THE CARIBBEAN SIDE OF Costa Rica, ABOUT 3 HRS FROM SAN JOSE.

JULY BLESSING:

LOS QUIZAROS, (Where we feed the children)….

We had a mission team from Florida, which included a V.B.S. program, and a construction team to help build a perimeter block wall at the new center, ( building a block wall around the property for security.) My friend Malcolm led the team which consisted of 12 brothers and sisters from Oasis Church in Deland Florida (for most it was a new adventure in there Christian walk to be on mission with God in another country) to help Cecelia and all the children and families in Los Quizaros.

We didn’t have a block layer, (my ankle and back prevented me working), but God did. I called another center, and asked them if they had any block layers? They had a new man, whom they didn’t have room for, and they asked if I had a bed open in my center. I did. He turned out to be a construction worker in all fields. His name is Henry, (God had already prepared him for this day) and is a master block layer. In the next four days with the help of two other men from my center, (another one could also lay block), they integrated in to the Florida team, and as one they accomplished what couldn’t have been done alone, and to the man we experienced “God In Action”, as we not only laid the foundation plus 4 layers of the block wall, (60ft long), but also came up with enough funds to build a wooden / tin siding fence around whole back of the property (over 80 ft) in two days.

The team worked in rain and mud, as it would rain almost every afternoon, starting around 1pm, with mostly drizzles all day.

The VBS ministry was a huge hit with the children and the community in general. I think the team members received as many blessings as the children as they experiences God In Action in every way possible, everyday they were here.

Another missionary’s and friend also working in Costa Rica, (Rick and his wife) have been helping with support to complete the floor and Electrical and other needs at the new center, with out there help it would be tough..

God keeps sending locals and other missionaries to help teach the children’s Bible Study’s every Sat, as I am not able to get there every week now due to my growing responsibilities at the rehab center. (Up to 12 men now)… and speaking of………

The School program in Los Guido,(last year) was a great success. We started out with around 50 children in need and ended up helping 76 with all their school needs plus uniforms and shoes. Please check out the school web page. Marci, whom built the web page, which raised a lot of funds, plus came here in Feb to help with buying and delivering supplies to the children was just a blessings, and I know was blessed just as much. We are looking forward to this coming year’s school supplies mission. P.S. We have started the school program fund drive as we speak. So please think about sponsoring children this year so they can continue learning for a better future, God welling.

P.S. the earlier you send in donations, the better we can estimate how many children we can help. We are looking for at least 75 children ($8,000.00) minimal

THIS YEAR IN SHORT STORIES:

REHAB CENTER, Ministerio Dios en Acción.

This is a great story of "God in action"… If you remember back in Dec 08, Francisco (Bob) graduated from the program after 6 months. I helped him get a job so he could start supporting his wife and two children. He had been on crack or in prison for the past 12 years. Then after 3 months he left work one Sunday and never got home. He started smoking Crack again that day. I went to try and get him back in the center, but he refused and blamed God for letting him go back to his addiction.

Now, fast forward to June 15^th2009, He called me and asked if he could come back to the center. I accepted him, but after 7 days he couldn’t take the guilt he felt, because he blamed God for failing him when he started using again and he left the center. I had a premonition that he would die if he went back to the streets&crack, so I started praying for him as he walked away, but to avail! I Thought!! I kept praying!! One hour later the police called me, as they had Bob in jail for a crime he had committed 5 years ago. (They had stopped him as he was walking back to the black hole of crack.) By chance they asked him for his ID, he didn’t have one so they checked his back ground… yahoo, Amen, praise God. They put him in jail!!! He called from the jail, (at the time he was handcuffed in the back of a police pickup) asking me to help him. I said only if he promises to come back to the center after his jail time…. He agreed. Three months later, at court, I was there as a character witness, they dismissed all charges, and he walked out clean, He also fulfilled his promise and returned to the center.

Cisco / Bob has been clean of drugs for over 9 MONTHS; He returned home 6 months ago to his two children and wife. He works as a taxi driver and he and his family walks faithfully with God.

I call that” GOD IN ACTION”…. Ya think?? Praise God

Four men have graduated or left this year as changed men and are doing great. All were addicted to Crack and Porno, plus stealing, lying and so forth. Time is a test for all of us, and for them time will tell if they have truly grown in character, and with enough Faith in the Armor of God to withstand the on-slot of temptations Satan throws at all Saints, every moment we live!! I believe they have. Please pray for them daily. Jonan, Regal, Francisco, Kenny and FoFo and others in the past, Bob, Mario, Aaron, Mauricio, another Mauricio, and pray for those who didn’t make it and are living on the streets, addicted to sorrow.

Another man, OMAR, came to my center about 7 months ago; he’s black, short in stature and had a big chip on his shoulders with good reason. He had grown up being abused, sexually, physically and spiritually. He had a hard time fitting in with the other men and was always challenging my authority and Gods purpose for him. (He was one of the hardest men I had received at my center) He left in a huff one day when I had to be tough with him, but a month later he showed up at my door asking for another chance!! I wasn’t going to let him back as I didn’t need his attitude around the other men. We had a long talk, and I realized that he had really hit bottom and was really ready to get out of the way, and let God in. Today (5 months later) he’s a good example of what God’s spirit can do when we really submit to Him. (Omar is a leader at the center and assists me daily)

There are too many stories of God’s mercy and grace working at my center to put in this report. I have 13 men as of August 27^th, mostly crack addicts and drinking.

A DAY AT THE CENTER > 5:30--get up (they clean and put in order there living area)

Breakfast at 6:30—

Devotional starts at 7: am –

Start work details at 8:30 – work till 11:30 break for lunch.

1: pm, back to work-

Stop work at 3: pm-

Clean up for coffee and bread/cookies at 3:30 ---

Free time till 6:30 dinner-

At 7: pm either a Bible Study, 5 nights per week, with 2 movies (DVD) per week—Lights out at 9: pm

The men play soccer when not raining or board games or play miniature pool, or read the bible and listen to Christian music.

I take the men to church every Sunday, "Fraternity of Christ" church. Pastor Fernando is my Pastor here in Costa Rica, and the centers. He teaches a Bible Study at the center every Thurs.

Visiting time is Sat & Sun. 1pm to 5:30pm

no work on Sundays.

Los Guido, where I have worked for 7 years in an area called the hole with around 30 families, has been closed by the government..Praise God!!

They built new housing for most all the families that lived there, which is a stones throw away from the hole, but higher up. They are still poor, just have better housing. This is the area we help with the school program

People from all around still use the stairway and bridge we built for the community 5 years ago.

Mission Needs;

<1> A missionary assistant to live and work here at the center full time. Needs to speak Spanish or, is willing and able to go to Spanish school while helping here. Needs to be mature in nature with an understanding of addiction, counseling would be helpful, not religious, but is Christ centered. (Self funded)

<2> A new or used 12 or 14 passenger, 4 x4 diesel van, approx cost, used>$15,000.00..,. new> $25,000.00, as my 95 GALLOPER, as tough as it is, is starting to get old. It can only carry 8 men, which means 2 trips every time I take the men to church or else where.

<3> to buy the property where my rehab center is. $126,000.000.---------- I rent it.

<4> Funds to continue to build on to the new center in Los Quizaros, (where we feed the children)

<5> Funds for dental work. I need 4 or 5 implants to keep my teeth. I lost most before Christ, when using drugs was more important. In Costa Rica they're $1,000.00 per. And no, they don't do dental insurance here.... I wish:>)

<6> Due to raise of cost of everything, I could use $300. to $500.00 more per month for mission needs.

<7> Spanish copy of the book "The Shack"----

P.S. Here is where most of your support goes per month

$200.00 to $500.00 for construction material... depending, (this does not include major construction projects)

$100.00 farming supplies and chicken and turkey feed for the rehab center

$100.00 The mission helps a family of 4 with it's monthly rent and food, other wise they would have to move back to the drug barrio where the father was addicted to crack and the family was threatened when he quit the gang, so to speak. While he was at my center, thieves broke in, threatening his children with a gun, and cleaned the house out, food clothes all electronics and stove... so I help..

$100.00 for food and medical help for families in Los Guido when needed (usually)

Their is more, but this will give you a basic idea about my monthly costs to run this mission.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN LOS GUIZAROS;
Every year we have a Christmas street party/celebration for around 400 children and there parent's (usually only a mom). It cost up words to $3000.00 for food, drinks, pinatas, and a present for each child according to their age and gender. Cecilia (she runs the food ministry) organizes this with the help of local families.
Are funds are running short this year, and I've had to dip in to my funds. And just when I thought we might not make it, God sends me enough (from wonderful sister in the Lord) to cover close to half of what we are short.

HELLO MY FRIENDS IN CHRIST,

THIS PAST MONTH I WELCOMED A NEW MEMBER TO GOD IN ACTION MINISTRY, “RACHEL GARBER“.SHE COMES TO US FROM “HIGHLAND MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH” IN CALGERY ALBERTO, CANADA.
TO SAY SHE IS JUST A BLESSING WOULD BE AN UNDERESTIMATE. SHE IS A WONDERFUL BLESSING THAT GOD INSPIRED TO COME HERE TO BE ON MISSION WITH HIM IN COSTA RICA TO HELP HELP THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THAT LIVE IN POVERTY OR WITHOUT PARENTS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HIS LOVE AND MERCY AND GRACE THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.

WHAT IS REALLY COOL, IS THAT SHE ALREADY SPEAKS SPANISH AND HAS ALREADY BEEN TRANSLATING FOR ME. (I CAN SPEAK OK, BUT HAVE A HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING SPANISH).
AS OF NOW, SHE WILL BE HELPING AT LOS QUIZAROS (WERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN) EVERY SATURDAY AND TEACHING ENGLISH AT AN ORPHANAGE UP THE ROAD FROM MY CENTER IN CORONADO ON MONDAY AND TUESDAYS. SHE CAN ALSO HELP ME ADMINISTRATIVELY, RACHEL HAS OPENED HER HEART TO SERVE GOD WHEREVER HE IS.

OK, ON ANOTHER FRONT, WE HAD A YOUNG MAN GRADUATE, (MAURICIO) AFTER A 6 MONTH ADVENTURE HERE LEARNING TO LIVE WITH CHRIST AGAIN. (Mauricio with our Pastor at guaduation) HIS FATHER IS A PASTOR OF A CHURCH NEAR CORONADO. MAURICIO(MAU, NICK NAME) STARTED REBELLING AND USING CRACK SOME YEARS AGO,WHEN HE FIRST CAME HERE, HE HAD ONLY PLANNED ON STAYING A FEW WEEKS, BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD OTHER IDEAS. HE IS NOW RECONCILED WITH HIS FAMILY AND CHURCH AND IS ONE OF GOD’S MIGHTY WARRIORS FOR CHRIST WHO HAS LEARNED TO GIVE HIS PAST OVER TO GOD SO HE CAN LIVE IN THE PRESENT WITH CHRIST, FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.
I STARTED A NEW GRADUATION PROGRAM, WERE AS AFTER FINISHING THE 6 MONTH PROGRAM, THEY DO NOT RECEIVE THEIR DIPLOMA TILL AFTER THEY COMPLETE 3 MONTHS CLEAN ON THE STREETS, AND ATTEND ONE OF THE WEEKLY STUDIES HERE AT THE CENTER.

I AM PREPARING TO COME HOME BY OCT. THIS YEAR, AS I NEED ANOTHER OPERATION TO INSTALL A METAL ANKLE IN MY RIGHT FOOT, AS THE ANKLE REPLACEMENT THEY DID 9 YEARS AGO IS WEARING OUT,(BUMMER) AND IN ORDER TO KEEP WALKING ALMOST NORMAL TILL MY TIME IS UP HERE. I BRING THIS UP NOW, BECAUSE PRAYER IS NEEDED, ONE TO BRING A MISSIONARY HERE FOR ABOUT 3 TO 5 MONTHS TO OVERSEA THE REHAB CENTER'S DAILY OPERATION. HE WOULD BE LIVING AT THE CENTER. ALSO WHILE I AM IN CA, I WILL NEED A CAR (AUTOMATIC)FOR MAYBE 2 MONTHS. AND OF COURSE FUNDING HAS TO KEEP GOING AS MY MISSION NEEDS HERE WILL NOT BE TAKING TIME OFF.

MY DEAR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS... WOW!! IS THIS YEAR GOING QUICKLY OR WHAT??

THINGS HERE SEEM TO BE GOING SUPER SONIC!!

WE'VE BUILT A FAIRLY LARGE FEEDING AND COMMUNITY CENTER AT LOS QUIZAROS (ON THE PROPERTY THAT WAS DONATED TO US LAST YEAR) OUT OF TREE TRUNKS, USED LUMBER AND A LOT OF FAITH. AS SOON AS I SAVE ENOUGH MONEY I'LL INSTALL THE ELECTRICITY, (WE USE AN EXTENSION CORD AS OF NOW). IT HAS A BATHROOM AND KITCHEN SINK TO WASH UP AFTER SERVING LUNCH TO FROM 30 TO 100 CHILDREN 6 DAYS A WEEK. WE ALSO INSTALLED A CONCRETE FLOOR WITH A STEEL DOOR FOR SECURITY...THINGS ARE GOING GOOD HERE, WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A MISSION TEAM FROM TEN (FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH) COMING HERE IN AUGUST TO HELP CECILIA'S MISSION.....

Some sad news , we lost two wonderful watch dogs(Bear and Negra) this past month due to pesticide on the farm next door, both poisoned.
Good news is,that the parents of Bear had another litter and I got two males from them. One looks like bear, but bigger and his brother is smaller, looks like a Rottweiler.

I now have 14 men at the center. I hadn't planned it this way,but God keeps bringing them.. This is my limit as I don't have room for more. I local Church asked me to help them place men off the street, as they have a full time ministry in the red zone (drugs, drunks and prostitutes), but no place to send the men with out money, so they call me.Most that have come leave with in tw weeks though... I don't count them.

OK THIS IS IMPORTANT, I RENT THE PROPERTY ON A YEARLY BASES, THE OWNER HAS PROMISED ME THAT HE WON'T SELL THE PROPERTY ACCEPT TO ME.

URGENT!!--THIS IS REALLY BAD NEWS---The owner, who makes side money driving a taxi at nite to support his retirement, was unfortunately in a accident last week while partying with two young ladies in his taxi, and both of the women died… The families of the women are suing him for a lot of money, which is forcing them (he and is wife) to sell the property ASAP… I know in my heart that God planted me here in this place to help His children out of the hell hole of addictions. I believe this is a wake up call to buy the property, NOW.. I just don’t know how, but God has already planned this.. so we shall see… Do you know anybody who would like to invest in some prime property in Costa Rica, and a bunch of lifes??

LOS GUIZAROS IS GOING GREAT , WE'VE STARTED A WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY, AND YOUNG MANS (18 TO 22) AND A MANS STUDY. THIS HAS ALL HAPPENED SINCE WE BUILT OR OWN CENTER...PRAISE GOD.

I PRAY YOUR ALL HAVING A MOST BLESSED NEW YEAR

JANUARY UPDATE 2009;

MY FRIENDS

I MY NOT BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN IN FULL JUST HOW MUCH GOD HAS BLESSED THE MEN AT THE REHAB CENTER SINCE MIDNIGHT 2009, SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME.

THE PHOTO ABOVE WAS TAKEN NEW YEAR’S NITE FROM THE STAIRWAY TO MY ROOM AT THE CENTER. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME ANY OF THE MEN HAD SEEN THE WHOLE VALLEY OF SAN JOSE ON NEW YEAR’S NITE (SOBER) EXPLODE IN CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS. IT WENT ON FOR HOURS, AND TO THE MAN, WE PRAYED AND GAVE THANKS FOR THE NEW YEAR, AND FOR THEM, ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS A STRONGER LIFE WITH CHRIST.

I HAVE BEEN USING A TWELVE STEP PROGRAM CALLED “CELEBRATE RECOVERY” FOR THE PAST 2 ½ MONTHS TO HELP THEM NOT TO JUST RECOVER, BUT TO LEAVE THE CENTER AS MIGHTY MEN OF GOD - STRONG IN FAITH THROUGH JESUS CHRIST AND IN THE ARMOR OF GOD.

THIS PAST WEEK I WAS FINISHING UP THE 3^RD STEP, AND AS I WAS GOING THROUGH THE LAST QUESTION THEY NEEDED TO ANSWER I FELT THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING MIGHTY IN THEIR HEARTS TO BRING CLOSURE TO THEIR HURTS, HABITS AND TRAGEDIES, BOTH NOW, AND FROM THEIR PASTS.

SO I ASKED THE QUESTION: WHO WOULD LIKE TO TURN ALL OF THIS JUNK THAT HAS BEEN KILLING YOU SLOWLY THROUGH DRUGS, STEALING, DRINKING, VIOLENCE, LIEING AND ALL THE HURTS FROM YOUR PAST OVER TO JESUS CHRIST NOW, THIS NITE, THIS MOMENT AND START A NEW LIFE THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD? TRUSTING THAT JESUS DID DIE FOR YOU, THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS REAL AND LIVES IN YOU, AND FROM THIS MOMENT YOU WILL WALK AS MIGHTY MEN OF GOD!

YES, YOU WILL STUMBLE, AS SATAN RULES LIFE ON EARTH WITHOUT CHRIST FOR NOW. BUT IN CHRIST AND WITH CHRIST YOU CAN OVER COME AND START LIVING TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW AND LEAVE YOUR PASTS BEHIND, NOW, TONIGHT!!

WHO WILL JOIN ME??

TO THE MAN (7 MEN) THEY AGREED….WE PRAYED AND THEY RE-NEWED THEIR WALK WITH CHRIST.

WOW! AND THANK YOU GOD WAS ALL I COULD SAY AND PRAY!

IS IT OVER FOR THEM/? NO! BUT I KNOW THEIR FAITH JUST GOT STRONGER AS THEY HAVE STARTED TO REALLY BELIEVE, THAT THEY CAN CHANGE, AND IN FACT ARE CHANGING DAILY THROUGH CHRIST FOR A BETTER TOMORROW AND ETERNITY.

THIS WAS NO SMALL FEAT, AS SOME OF THE MEN HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE OTHER MEN, AND YET IN THE WEEK FOLLOWING, ALL SEVEN MEN HAVE COME TOGETHER AS A TEAM, AS BROTHERS IN CHRIST TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER THROUGH THE MONTHS AHEAD TO GRADUATION FROM “GOD IN ACTION MINISTRY”, AND VA CON DIOS “GO WITH GOD”.

PLEASE KEEP IN PRAYER, HANS, MAURICIO, RUDY, FABIAN, NELSON, HEINER AND FRANCISCO……… PRAISE GOD:>)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING & MERRY CHRISTMAS

“My Friends, greetings from "GOD IN ACTION MINISTRY” in Costa Rica. I pray God richly blesses you during this time of celebrating our Lord and Saviors birth and our path to salvation.

WOW, this year has just gone! It seems like just yesterday it was February, that was when I took over directorship of the re-hab center, which has lead to the recovery of 5 men from addictions this year, with 2 more graduating in December.

My Friends, this was only possible due to Gods mercy and grace, and your hearts to help His children through support of His mission here in Costa Rica, “God in Action Ministry”.

Not everything goes as planned.

(Diego) who graduated in October, went on a crack binge a couple weeks ago. Diego called me for help and I accepted him back in the program, but he snuck back to the streets. He came back 6 days later, broken, but in faith. I reminded him of the story of when Peter, in faith, walked on water, but took his eyes off Jesus for a second, Matthew 14:30 Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"!! ....Diego is doing good as we speak. Praise God.

In Los Guizaros, we are gearing up for Christmas.
for the past four years I have helped Cecilia (she started the program) with a street Christmas party for about 400 children + parents. We give a present by age, to all the children. For about 35% this the only present they will get. A message of Christ is given, then the kids, by age group, swing at piñatas, then chicken and rice is served to all and presents handed out as we give thanks.

We have the help, but funds are low (we need $3000.00) Please consider helping these children have the same joy you and your family receive each Christmas, by sharing just a little more of your blessings with them. I know this isn’t life saving, but it is spirit saving and loving, which leads to life changing.

A local woman has purchased and donated land for Cecilia’s foundation for building a center to feed the children, (we get a lot of flack from the directors of the center we use now), with rooms for medical and dental volunteers, eating area, bible studies for parents and children on a daily/weekly basis, and possibly start a church. We are praying for churches and other originations to come along side us to build a center/church for the children and families of Los Guizaros.

When I started my mission, almost 6 years ago I had no idea as to Gods plan for me here in Costa Rica. I had planed on studying Spanish for 1 year here in Costa Rica, then serving in Venezuela for 2 years working with street children and then returning home. Little did I know??… I would like to share this from Willis/Blackaby’s book “On Mission with God”:
“God reveals Himself to you so you can adjust your life to Him and join Him on His mission. Where He takes you is His doing, not ours. He wants to reveal His glory to a waiting world through you. He can do that anywhere He chooses when you allow Him to manifest Himself through you.”….
What is God’s mission?…Hab. 2:14, “earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”.
I share this with you so you can understand my great joy in joining God on mission here in Costa Rica…haha, little did I know!! And little did you know the wonderful part you would play through your support in joining me on mission with God in Costa Rica. So you can see, it’s by no accident we are here as one in Christ serving with “God in Action Ministry”.

FROM DRUGS TO CHRIST !!

Hi my friends, I hope you have time to read this, it is life changing.

In the past two months, these three men have graduated with honors from "God In Action Ministry." Francisco, Alren and Diego.

On September 1st, Alren graduated after 6 months. He is 46 years old and has been an alcoholic since he was 14 years old. His drink of choice was filtered rubbing alcohol with orange juice, He suffered a heart attack when he was 32 had open heart surgery and only God knows why he is still alive, as his health is terrible. When he first arrived he was so drunk, he didn’t know where he was at for two days. He had the shakes so bad he couldn’t hold a spoon. We prayed over him and in four days he was eating and drinking coffee with very little shaking. He was into devil worship of sorts, I found this out after he had painted his new rubber boots (for work) with red stripes and horns… I took a deep breath and explained about Christ to him and choices he’s going to have make here. After cleaning his boots he started asking more questions, and as the Holy Spirit did His work on him, and within a month he was praying with us and before long he started having a little faith which grew like a ivory vine on a wall. After three months he swore of liquor and smoking cigarettes. (I had had to reprimand him two times for smoking in the past). He had two heart attacks during his stay here and many trips to the emergency for near misses. That part was a little difficult. But he made it. He’s now living with his parents and attending AA meetings with the man who brought him here and is solid in his new faith and walk with Christ.... Amen.

On Sunday Oct 5th Francisco (Cisco) graduated after 6 months of recovery at “God in Action Ministry”. When he first arrived he was addicted to crack cocaine and loved telling dirty jokes and street experiences of the past. With in a month he had stopped, (after many rebukes by me) and started reading the Bible feverishly. After a Bible Study one night he sincerely accepted Christ as his Savior. I started letting him teach short devotionals in the afternoon and with the help of a American Pastor missionary, we started teaching him how to teach, and within three months he was teaching full Bible Studies at night, (yes, he was monitored at first). Cisco is also a great car mechanic and has helped keep me on the road. He’s a lot like me in that he learns by doing. With just a little direction he learned how to build block walls and lay cement floors. (I can’t because of my back) But most importantly, he has resumed his relationship with his wife and two daughters and hopefully one day in the future they will be a family again. (He had really hurt them in the past with his addictions and anger). He will be living at the center tell Dec. so he can find a job and get and start a regular life and continue working on is relationship with is family. He is teaching 4 to 5 bible studies a week and loving it.
God is Awesome//Amen

This is Diego,he graduated Oct 12th, he's 23 years old and was addicted to crack cocaine when he came to the center over 6 months ago. His relationship with is family was in the toilet as his dad had kicked him out of the house as he was stealing to support his addiction. His first 3 months here were full of turmoil as he had/has a problem with his pride and he's a big boy. After just one month he wanted to quit, we talked and prayed for a hour or so and he agreed to give me at least three months, then one night after a Bible study he came up to my office and rededicate his life to Jesus. Shortly after that I permitted him to start going to church with his family on Sundays, which led to renewed relationship with his father and his families trust him...He is now home working to help support his family with a new heart for Jesus and I believe he will never use drugs again through his believe in the power of the holy Spirit.

These three men have been saved through the love of Jesus Christ and the mercy of God in Action, here in Costa Rica from a life of drugs and crime and have started a new relationship with God and their families Most of these men started using drugs when they were children
Please pray with me for all of God's children who have been doped in to addictions through the lies of Satan and lure of drugs, sex and money, for they are the cause of the destruction of our families values which in turn helps destroy our children's future. No matter where you live please pray for all men and women who have addictions and the families who are effected by there addictions. Their is hope for all through Christ.

BLESSINGS IN COSTA RICA

SAN JOSE VALLEY AT NIGHT FROM THE REHAB CENTER.

DEAR FRIENDS,
IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE UPDATED MY BLOG. I PRAY ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN DOING OK, AS I KNOW THE ECONOMY AND WEATHER HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM FOR MANY. ..I GIVE THANKS TO YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF MY MISSION "GOD IN ACTION MINISTRY".

A LOT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS ... I'VE BEEN TO CALIFORNIA AND BACK, "IT WAS AN AWESOME TRIP WITH MANY BLESSING, WITH THE PROMISE OF MANY MORE".

THE WEEK I GOT BACK WAS VERY INTERESTING AND ALMOST TRAGIC, BUT GOD'S WISDOM AND MERCY PREVAILED.
ONE OF THE MEN IN MY REHAB CENTER WAS CLOSE TO KILLING ANOTHER MAN THAT HAD LEFT THE CENTER AND STARTED A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. ONLY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING IN HIM DID HE COME TO ME FIRST, AND I WAS ABLE TO COUNSEL WITH HIM AND IN PRAYER HE RECEIVED PEACE FROM HIS ANGER AND IN SO DOING HE HAS BECOME A BETTER FATHER AND HUSBAND TO HIS FAMILY AND FIRMLY BELIEVES IN THE POWER OF PUTTING ON THE "ARMOR OF GOD" DAILY TO STEADY HIS WALK WITH GOD, AND HIS DAUGHTER UNDERSTANDS AND HAS STOPPED SEEING THE MAN.
THE OTHER MAN HAS REPENTED AND HAS STOPPED THE RELATIONSHIP AND KNOWS THAT HE ALMOST DESTROYED TWO FAMILIES BECAUSE OF HIS LUST.. IT'S STRANGE AS I KNOW HE HAS ACCEPTED JESUS IN HIS LIFE, BUT I KNOW, THAT BECAUSE HE LEFT THE PROGRAM EARLY (3 MONTHS) TO GO BACK TO WORK TO HELP SUPPORT HIS NEW SON, THAT HIS OLD GIRL FRIEND JUST GAVE BIRTH TO, THAT HE WASN'T READY, AND IS HAVING HARD TIME CONTROLLING HIS OLD HABITS AND NEW TEMPTATIONS. (WHICH ARE NOT NEW). PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL THE MEN AT THE CENTER "GOD IN ACTION MINISTRY" THAT THEY WILL STAY THE COURSE AND ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE THE CENTER OF THERE LIFE'S AND NEW FAITH.

OK, NOW FOR SOME FUN NEWS. LAST WEEK WAS NATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY AND WE HAD A FIESTA FOR 100 CHILDREN AT LOS GUIZAROS, (WHERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN),
CLOWNS FROM A LOCAL YOUTH MINISTRY PUT ON A WONDERFUL SHOW, WITH CHRIST'S LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN AS THE THYME. FUN WAS HAD BY ALL AS THE CHILDREN PLAYED CAMES, EAT ICE CREAM, HAD LUNCH,(FRIED CHICKEN, AND ALL RECEIVED A PRESENT FOR THEIR AGE GROUP.

JESSICA, AN AMERICAN MISSIONARY, HAS BEEN HELPING WITH THE CHILDREN OFF AND ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL BLESSING FOR ALL AT LOS GUIZAROS!!

PRAISE GOD AS A LOCAL FAMILY GAVE US LAND AT LOS GUIZAROS TO BUILD A FUTURE CHILDREN'S CENTER SOME DAY. PLEASE PRAY FOR OTHERS TO COME ALONG SIDE THIS MISSION TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THIS WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO FURTHER HELP GOD'S CHILDREN HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF LIFE THROUGH CHRIST. WOW, AND PRAISE THE LORD IS ALL I CAN SAY. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE BEING 65 YEARS OLD??? HAHA, ASK A 20 YEAR OLD........... daa I DON'T KNOW:>)!!!... BUT HERE I AM, AND I GOTTA SAY IT'S PRETTY COOL. AS MOST OF YOU KNOW I HAD A REAL NICE SURPRISE ON MY BIRTHDAY WITH THE MEN AT THE REHAB CENTER, THEN ANOTHER CAKE FROM OTHER FRIENDS, ALL IN ALL I'M PRETTY SWEET RIGHT NOW>:)

SO WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH MY MISSION????... THAT ONE I CAN ANSWER.....
WITH GOD IN CHARGE...EVERYTHING!!!!!

A mission team from Florida helped build the new kitchen, (which we just started using, all though it's not completed in side), but the roof is on and the wood stove with a new chimney is cooking up a storm.
We have no problems with thieves, as are guard dog Negro(pronounced Nay-gro in Spanish)is always on the job!!

We just finished the roof and inspection accesses doors for the septic tank, and will get it ready for use next week, as we're finishing the new bathroom (installing Electrical and finish plumbing)and will open it next week also. God permitting.
OH ya, our other guard dog "Mental" taking 20...

This past week we had a evangelist mission group from a local church visited us and with the help of their band and praise group we had a most awesome worship and revival experience. The men at the center really got in to it, as did everybody and the Holy Spirit blessed us all.
Francisco(in red shirt,daughter in white,hugging) and his daughter had there first church serves together ever. Francisco did not believe in God or Christ until he entered the program here 2 months ago..Praise God....... There's a photo of the Catholic church in Coronado, 130yrs old! It reminds me of an old Dracula movie....MORE PHOTOS...

MY DEAR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS AND OTHERS :>)

THIS PAST MONTH HAS SEEN A SUPER CHANGE IN MY MISSIONS WORK AND LIVING CONDITIONS.
AS SOME OF YOU KNOW, I HAVE TAKEN OVER THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR AT THE REHAB CENTER
"MINISTARIO DE DIOS EN ACCION" FOR MEN IN CORONADO, COSTA RICA. CURRENTLY I HAVE 9 MEN AT THE CENTER. ONE OF THE MEN "ALBERTO" WORKS FOR ME AS THE CENTERS FOREMAN AND IS IN CHARGE WHEN I'M NOT THERE. HE GRADUATED 2 WEEKS AGO AND HAS RETURNED TO HIS WIFE AND 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER A NEW MAN IN CHRIST AND CLEAN OF DRUGS.
I AM MOVING EVERYTHING UP THERE THIS WEEK, AS I HAVE BEEN LIVING THERE FULL TIME FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS AND NEED TO GET SETTLED IN. IT LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE HERE FOR AWHILE. IT HAS GROWN ON ME. THE MEN HAVE ACCEPTED ME AS THERE LEADER, TEACHER, COUNSELOR, FRIEND AND GOD'S SERVANT TO THEM. I'VE ALREADY HAD ONE GUY HAVE A HEART ATTACK AT CHURCH. (HE'S BACK NOW ON MEDS AND THE DOC SAYS HE'LL LIVE ALONG TIME IF HE STAYS OF THE JUICE.)
WHEN HE ARRIVED HE COULD HARDLY WALK AND HAD THE SHAKES FOR TWO DAYS, COULD NOT EAT MUCH, BUT BY THE 3RD DAY AFTER MUCH PRAYER AND CARE, HE JUST GOT WELL (HOLY SPIRIT)!! HE HAS ALSO QUIT SMOKING AND HAS NO DESIRE TO DRINK ANY MORE. PHOTO=(AFTER THREE DAYS)...THIS IS TRULY "GOD IN ACTION"!!

ALSO, TWO MEN HAVE ACCEPTED CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR, AND BOTH HAVE RETURNED TO THEIR WIFES AND CHILDREN. THAT'S JONATHON WITH HIS FAMILY AND ALBERTO GIVING HIS TESTIMONY ON THE DAY HE GRADUATED FROM THE CENTER.

Changes bring blessings

Dear friends and supporters,

I pray this finds you all blessed as God works in your lives. It has been awhile since my last up date, and a lot has happened. God is blessing me and His children here abundantly through the Holy Spirit. This past month has been a time of change in my mission priorities.

I have taken over Directorship and moved to the men’s rehab center, “God in Action Ministry” for men in Coronado, which is 40 minutes in the hills above San Jose, Costa Rica. I am amazed how God takes the seemingly unqualified and uses them in mighty ways for His purpose. At first I was unsure if I was to do this, and yet I had no other choice, as the previous Director resigned with short notice, but in good grace. So I had two choices: close the center or run it myself. I really didn’t need a pencil for this quiz, as God had already opened the door for me, and as I have found out He had also prepared the way.

It’s unusually cold here from what I have experienced in the last 5 years in Costa Rica. It’s more like San Francisco, Calif. with less sunshine, but fresh and beautiful, and we over look the whole valley of San Jose -- perfect for rehab.
However, as I left to go to the Center, I was wondering how I was going to keep my room with the Tica (Costa Rica) family I have lived with for the past 5 1/2 years, but God had already planed that. I had been talking with a woman missionary in the Dominican Republic (Sue) for a few months on the internet. She had shared that she was possibly looking for another mission to help, but wasn’t sure where to go. OK, a long story short, Sue arrived April 29th to began working with me here.

She will be living with my Tica family in my old room…so I keep my office and storage area and my Tica family. She will be overseeing all my paperwork, reports and computer stuff as needed. Here’s the kicker: she teaches English. Yahoo -- as I can now teach the men a skill that can help them get a better job when they leave the center.. YES, I am excited, and so are the 4 men here at the center. On other news, the new bathroom we’re building is almost complete and will make life easier for the men (now sharing 1 bathroom)!

Here’s blessing straight from God. Last Sunday I spoke briefly at church in San Pedro where Steve (he teaches a Tuesday night study at the center) is the teaching Pastor. After the service a woman asked me how much money was needed to finish the bathroom at the center. I told her and she blessed us with the enough to finish it.
But the real blessing is, that the men are responding to God’s teaching. I have been able to disarm arguments and badmouthing of one another through verses in the Bible. God has given me wisdom to led and teach the men in the Word of God. I was able to discipline the men by reading Proverbs 6:16-19. This was after I had heard murmuring among them.

So, here’s “God in Action”: Monday I told them, that if they memorized those verses by Friday, I’d show a them a movie (DVD). The next day I was gone all day on errands. When I returned that night for supper, I asked if they had memorized any part of them. To my surprise and joy, they all recited all the verses as a team. This was the first time they had done anything as a family in Christ! They were like children as they recited the verses to me, smiling and laughing in joy in their accomplishment. (ages 22 to 49)..

Haha, I guess I made the right decision in keeping the center open, even though it is a financial stretch. But what are four lives worth to God?? EVERYTHING.!! If you’d like to help with funds to buy (clothes, shoes, medical, always food, building material, bedding, mattresses office/school supply) , but above all prayer. Los Guizaros (where we feed the children 6 days a week) is still going strong even though the cost of food and cooking gas has skyrocketed, we’re making ends meet through the grace of God, by cutting a few corners. The weekly Saturday youth Bible Study has grown from 8 or 10 to 16 youths between 8 and 14 yrs old. We have been blessed with more people welling to help every Sat. Rose (from Costa Rica) comes with her grandchild every week and helps teach the younger children the Bible along with Jessica and Kari who are both young missionaries here on short term mission from the USA. Rebecca and Stephanie, both from Costa Rica, and have been with me for 3 years now. Rebecca usually leads the older children’s Bible Study.

Also, please keep Cecelia in prayer as she started feeding the children 5 years ago out of her own pocket. She usually does all the cooking 6 days a week and more. Also pray for more support for food, cooking gas and other Bible study supplies needed.
Los Guido is always on top of my heart to help. The children and families who live there are like a second family to me. I help many with special needs as they just don’t have the means. One of the families needs help sending their autistic daughter to a special school where she is learning to interact with other children with the same handicap. Another I help with funds to pay for government-supplied milk for children in need. And the list goes on. Please understand that they are not depending on me for their needs but a blessing that is provided to them from “God in Action Ministry”. And, even though their needs are great, they do not ask for more.

The stairs I repaired there a few months ago are doing great, however there is a need for more repairs as the climate is hard on everything man-made. This month I will be delivering photos I took of the families, some newborn children, and others of special events in their lives. This is a part of the ministry here that really helps me stay in touch with all the families as they never could afford a camera or printed photos. I think you all can understand the joy a photo brings. I will also be checking the youths’ report cards to see how they are doing in school. I can help motivate them with a promise of school supplies for next year if they have passing grades this year. It seems to work:>)

My Friends and supporters,

First, I pray that God has blessed you all with your needs and good health.
The following is a quick run through my mission projects in February, and in to March.
I had some pretty cool projects and a few adventures.

"ON MISSIONS WITH GOD IN COSTA RICA"

IN FEBRUARY, I STARTED WORKING WITH A COSTA RICA FAMILY, (MAX, THE FATHER AND ERIC IS HIS SON) WHO IS ATTENDING DENTAL SCHOOL HERE. FOR THE PAST MONTH, TWO DAYS EVERY WEEK, I PICK UP A BOY OR GIRL AND THERE MOM FROM LOS GUIZAROS (WHERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN) AND TAKE THEM TO THE DENTAL SCHOOL AND ERIC WORKS ON THEM.
THIS STARTED AFTER ERIC AND ANOTHER DENTAL STUDENT VISITED LOS GUIZAROS IN FEB AND EXAMINED OVER 50 PEOPLE. MAX'S FAMILY HAS BEEN HELPING TO PAY FOR THE WORK AND I AM THE TAXI. HERE'S THE TWIST, I HAVE A FRIEND IN OREGON WHO'S FAMILY HAD AN EXCHANGE STUDENT 20 YEARS AGO, AND THEY HAVE STAYED FRIENDS OVER THE YEARS. STEVE, MY FRIEND IN OREGON MENTIONED ME TO MAX AND SENT ME MAX'S PHONE #. WE ALL KNOW COSTA RICA IS A SMALL COUNTRY...WELL, IT GOT SMALLER. MAX LIVES LESS THAN 1/4 MILE FROM ME AS THE CROW FLY'S. GOD IS WONDERFUL. I HAVE NEW FRIENDS AND THE CHILDREN ARE GETTING THEIR TEETH FIXED.

ALSO IN FEB, A FRIEND AND BROTHER (KEVIN) IN CHRIST IN CALIF SENT ME THE FUNDS FOR MATERIAL, AND THEN SOME OTHER FRIENDS OF MINE FROM ALASKA SHOWED UP, (THEY'RE TRAVELING TO ARGENTINA IN A CAR) HELPED ME FOR TWO DAYS REPAIRING THE STEPS IN LOS GUIDO THAT I HAD BUILT FOUR YEARS AGO. GOD'S BLESSING NEVER STOP...IT WAS AWESOME. Please keep their travels in prayer!

WHILE THEY WERE WORKING, THE CHILDREN HAD A GOOD TIME INTERACTING WITH THEM, AND EATING ICE CREAM OR JUST WATCHING THE CRAZY GRINGOS!

ANOTHER BLESSING IN MARCH WAS A SUPPORTER SENT FUNDS FOR A NEW PROPANE STOVE FOR LOS GUIZAROS,(WHERE WE FEED THE CHILDREN) AND NONE TO SOON, AS THE OLD ONE BURNT OUT. THESE ARE THE LITTLE THINGS THAT KEEP THE MISSION ON TRACK.

April brought many blessings and new adventures with God. I will be posting a new blog update next week.... Please tune in for more adventures with God.

BLESSINGS 2008

2007 WAS A YEAR WHERE EACH ONE OF US EXPERIENCED GOD'S MERCY AND GRACE IN DIFFERENT WAYS, BUT ALL PART OF THE SAME FAMILY THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS. THAT IS PART OF THE MESSAGE I SHARE HERE IN COSTA RICA IN WHAT EVER GOD HAS ME DOING ON MISSIONS.

EVERY YEAR CHILDREN GO BACK TO SCHOOL, AND MOST OF THE CHILDREN I WORK WITH CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY NEW UNIFORMS OR THE NOTE BOOKS AND OTHER MATERIAL NEEDED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL, PLUS SHOES.

OUR MISSION WAS ABLE TO HELP 61 CHILDREN IN RECEIVING MOST OF THE UNIFORMS/SHOES AND MATERIALS NEEDED FOR A GOOD SCHOOL YEAR.

THIS YEAR I BROUGHT 55 UNIFORMS PLUS SHOES,
AND FILLED (53) BACK PACKS FULL OF ALL THE SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR ONE YEAR IN EITHER KINDER, GRADE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL. (SOME OF THE CHILDREN WORKED PICKING COFFEE THIS PAST TWO MONTHS DURING SCHOOL BREAK OR RECEIVED HELP FROM OTHER SOURCES FOR SOME OF THEIR SCHOOL NEEDS.) "I'LL SEND YOU A LIST ON REQUEST OF WHAT IS NEEDED BY EACH CHILD FOR SCHOOL"

THIS IS A HUGE UNDERTAKING EACH YEAR, BUT IT IS SO REWARDING IN SEEING THE RELIEF AND JOY OF THE FAMILIES IN KNOWING THEIR CHILDREN CAN GO BACK TO SCHOOL.... IT IS PRETTY AWESOME MY FRIENDS:>) "REMEMBER, SEVEN OUT OF TEN FAMILIES DO NOT HAVE A FATHER IN THE HOUSE, SO IT'S VERY TOUGH ON THE FAMILY TO PROVIDE FOR SCHOOL."

I HAVE ONE SUPPORTER THAT SENDS ME $100.00 A MONTH TOWARDS THIS EVERY YEAR. IF YOU'D LIKE TO TAKE ON A CHILD OR TWO ON A YEARLY BASES, I WILL SEND YOU THE FAMILIES NAME AND PHOTOS WITH UPDATES ON THE CHILDREN YOU PERSONALLY HELP.

HELLO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN CHRIST,

THIS PAST SUNDAY WE HAD A CHRISTMAS PARTY IN LOS GUIZAROS, COSTA RICA FOR ABOUT 350 CHILDREN AND PARENTS. ALL TOLD, CLOSE TO 500 PEOPLE. (The sign says Merry Christmas to the children)
BECAUSE OF YOUR SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN HELPING TO FEED THE CHILDREN HERE, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REACH MANY FAMILIES THROUGH THE LOVE OF JESUS AS THEY WITNESSED "GOD IN ACTION" IN THEIR COMMUNITY.

WE HAD GAMES, PRAISE MUSIC,FACE PAINTING, LOT'S OF FOOD, (HOT DOGS AND RICE AND CHICKEN),AND LOTS OF GIFTS AND JOY. OH YA, LOCAL YOUTHS PUT ON A DANCE SHOW...VERY GOOD!

EACH CHILD RECEIVED A GIFT BY THEIR AGE GROUP, AND FOR MANY, THIS WILL BE THE ONLY PRESENT THEY RECEIVE THIS CHRISTMAS. BUT THE MAIN THING IS, THAT THEY ALL HEARD AND MOST UNDERSTOOD THE REAL REASON FOR CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS..."OUR LORD JESUS BIRTHDAY"

IT RAINED AT FIRST, BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP THE PARTY.

THIS COMING SAT. DEC.15TH, WE ARE GOING TO A VERY POOR TOWN NEAR THE PORT CITY OF LIMON (ABOUT 3 HOURS AWAY)TO DO THE SAME FOR ABOUT 100 CHILDREN THAT ALSO LIVE IN POVERTY.

It's Christmas, praise God!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

DEAR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS,

The end of the year (2007) is fast approaching. I would like to thank you for your consistent and generous support throughout the year and your hearts to serve our God through my mission, “GOD IN ACTION” in Costa Rica.

As you know, for the last four years I’ve been involved in three wonderful ministries here in Costa Rica, and each one has its own special blessings and needs.

The first ministry is in Los Guido, ministering with children and families living in poverty with very few of the necessities we call normal. I have built and repaired homes, walkways and bridges with the help of mission teams, which help the community in whole. I have helped with Bible studies in there homes which has opened doors to having a personal relationship with about 20 families, plus I help repair their homes. Last month with your help and God’s grace, I saved a home from sliding down the hillside when the hill gave way (landslide) by building two retaining walls. This also saved two homes below them from possible destruction.

This year through your support, we were able to help 53 children with their school supply in Los Guido. This coming January, I will be helping the same children. Please pray about helping His children as God directs your heart so they may have a better chance of a future through education and of course through His Son Jesus Christ. It will cost about $4000.00. Average $75 per child. (Not all will need new uniforms)

Another ministry, is the men’s rehab center “CASA C.A.F.E.” in Coronado, where men who our addicted to drugs and alcohol come from all over Costa Rica to change their lives, and in most cases find something unexpected…..The love of Jesus Christ, which gives them strength to change and become new men reborn with the spirit of Christ. I help teach Bible studies every week and supply them with 200# of rice every month, plus. They grow their own vegetables and rise chickens to eat and sell to help support the center.

Through your blessings, we provided the material and helped the men build a new building, which has 6 bedrooms which can house up to 24 men. (Before they lived in a 24x24 old barn.) Please pray for the funds to have their medical needs cared for as needed also steady support for food and rent, and for a person to teach them English, and that God will rise up missionaries from these men to go out and help others on the streets.
As of now CASA C.A.F.E. is CLOSED until possibly January, The health ministry requires us to do the following repairs to reopen: (1) >Build a new Kitchen… (2) > Increase the size of the new bathroom... (3) > Finish building the septic tank… (4) > install more windows in the sleeping area.
It's estimated at about $5000. to $6000.00 to finish this.

My third mission area is Los Guizaros, where we feed the children lunch six days a week and have a Bible Study every Saturday with the children. Every day these children pray and give thanksgiving for this food, knowing it’s a blessing from Jesus. (Cecilia and her son) & (volunteers helping to cook)

Cecilia (she’s raised her family here for 20 years) started this ministry over 4 years ago with nothing more than a heart to help the children in her neighborhood whom she knew didn’t have enough food on a daily basis in their homes. She was only able to feed them 3 days a week due to lack of funds for the first 2 years, but she was consistent. I started helping her about 2 & ½ years ago by building benches for the children to sit on while they ate, (before they had been setting on the cement floor and with more rice. With the help of other missionaries, we now feed the children lunch 6 days a week, (30 to 100 children a day depending on their school schedule). It is always close to the wire, funding wise, but God gets us though it every month.

“MERRY CHIRSTMAS”For the past three years, Cecilia has provided a Christmas party in December, for all the children (this year about 350 children) and their parents.(About 550 people total) This includes a present for each child (in their age group) plus lunch for everybody, (hot dogs and rice & chicken). I have supported this for the past 2&1/2 years and will again this year. We also have games and a Christmas message about Christ. Fore about 1/3 of the children this will be the only present they receive for Christmas.
It will cost about $1000.00 this year to get this done (inflation is a bummer) and we are short.
Please pray about helping with this need, this month, which is an awesome blessing for the children as they experience more of “God in Action” in their lives.

A SLOW WEEK

HAPPY THANSKGIVING

MONDAY morning..I got a call from Mary(she has 4 children,all girls (she just got married this year through the church I work with here)they live in Los Guido.(I have ministered and helped them in many ways for 4 years). Anyway, her two youngest daughters were really sick and couldn't sleep because of coughing all night.

I was heading to Los Guido to drop off some passport size photos I had printed for Randell, who needed them to get his papers to work as a security guard. (He has 5 children and one to be born next month. So I grabbed some children's cough & fever medicine a team had brought down and headed to Mary's. When I arrived by her house, I was asked by some families if I could build a water diverter at the top of a walkway that leads down to the waco (Hole)where 30 families live in poverty. I told them I'd pray about it.(A lot of rain runoff from the street goes down the hill and has caused damage)

Monday afternoons at 3pm I head to "CASA C.A.F.E." men's rehab center to bring supplies for the men, and to bring Fran, who teaches the weekly Bible Study. Fran is an Costa Rica ex druggie who was saved four years ago and wants to be a Pastor some day. He recently joined me to teach the Monday afternoon Bible Study I started two years ago. He's been in discipleship training for three years. While Fran is teaching, I'm usually counseling a few of the men. I get home around 8:30 pm.

TUESDAY, I catch up on my emails, write reports and take care of personal stuff. This day at 7:30am, I had to take my car in to the mechanic's, as one of my rear springs broke so he was replacing both of them. I went home and did paper work. I had asked God about building the rain divirter. It sounded like yes! I had just enough money to buy material to build it, roughly $30.00. I plan on doing it tomorrow.
3:00pm I picked my car up from the shop and then picked up a TV, that was in the repair shop from the rehab center to take back up there Friday. (which is movie night)twice a month I bring my DVD player and show a movie for the men .

WEDNESDAY morning, I picked up Randell to help me build the water diverter in Sector #5 in Los Guido. (I still can't do a lot of work with my hands, because of my two sprained fingers.)after picking up the cement rock and sand we installed a 10'x 1'x 6" cement water divertor. Most people that came by thanked us and God for helping them have just a little better day. While I was working a young mother asked for a photo of her and her mother and her baby. Part of my ministry is taking photos which I make copies for the family.(It's usually the only photos they will have.)Baby's name is Rebeca. I prayed over the baby for health and wisdom. We all gave thanks.(She lives below where the rain run off was causing damage)

THURSDAY. This week I received my monthly money transfer from CTEN, so I visited Price Mart and bought 200# of rice for the rehab center and another 200# for feeding the children at Los Guizaros and 100# for the daycare center in Los Guido. I delivered too Los Guido and Los Guizaros. Friday I'll go to Coronado, "CASA C.A.F.E.". One of the blessings in delivering the food , is praying over it with my friends.
Around 1 pm I was driving to my house, when I went around a corner and my two wheel drive stopped working and I had almost no brakes...It was kinda freaky!! I put it in 4 wheel drive and I could move forward so I drove it about 3 miles to my mechanic house,BLESSING, as I pulled up to his garage my right rear tire and axial fell off!! If I had gone another 5 feet, it would have caused a lot of damage. Instead Abel, my mechanic said; he could fix it by tomorrow morning. I figure the Angles got me there before it fell off...Praise God!! ...3:pm, I went to the dentist and he recommends I get my 5 bottom front teeth capped. He gives me a break because I'm a missionary, he'll do everything for $1000.00. I told him I'd see what happens in the next couple months, as Christmas is near and there's a lot to do for the children. He said; he'd hold the price for me.

FRIDAY morning, I call the mechanic and my car will be done at 11 am. I take a bus to pick up my car (20 minute ride)and head to Coronado with 200# of rice for the men's rehab center. I'm also taking my DVD player to show the men a movie, this week it's Lion King....yes, most of them never saw it or if they did it was in English, this is in Spanish. when I arrive at CASA C.A.F.E. I get some bad news. It seems that Paco(He's been at the center for 3 years, directing it the last two)has back slid back to drinking and has left the center. Anyway we will pray about this and then watch the movie as there's nothing more we can do, but pray. I will talk to Paco next week. Please pray for him.
I turn the movie on for the men,then me and the leaders sit down for a long talk about Paco, the food situation(not good)and possibly having to move the men to another location........I'll know more next week..
I won't be coming to the center next week as I'm going on a trip with some friends that are coming from CA to visit my mission area and see some of Costa Rica, as he wants to move here to raise his two girls. I get home around 8:30pm

Saturday > 9:am I pick up two of the three Costa Rica girls (Rebbecca and Stephine and Cathy)that help my at Los Guizaros teaching the Bible Study to the children every Saturday for the past two years two years."Cathy is going to beat me up for using this photo",she's eating, then Rebbecca and Stephine but it's cute. Stephine and Rebbecca go to Collage and Cathy works. God has used them mightily in ministering to the children and parents here at Los Guizaros.
We start with prayers and worship with the children, then a Bible Study and after we feed the children lunch and pray again. I pick up and take back home 8 children from their homes, as they live aways away. (4 from one family and 4 from another). they couldn't always come because of the time it took for them to walk to the Community Center.

Sunday > I usually go to church in the morning then in the afternoon I try to make it to the church in Los Guido, where my ministry began. and the rest of the day I take it kind of easy, unless God has other plans, which He usually does.

MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST,

I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO REACHED OUT (IN PRAYER AND FUNDING) TO HELP SAVE XIANA'S HOME AND THE TWO HOMES BELOW HER HOUSE(third photo)FROM A DISASTER THAT HAS CLAIMED HUNDREDS OF HOMES IN COSTA RICA THE PAST THREE WEEKS DUE TO HEAVY RAINING.

THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE WHEN PEOPLE HAVE COME TOGETHER TO HELP PEOPLE, GOD IS USUALLY THE CENTER POINT, NOT THE AFTER THOUGHT. BEING ON MISSIONS WITH GOD IS LIKE THAT. WHAT IS ASKED OF US, IS TO SEEK GOD'S WELL IN ALL THINGS, AND HE WILL RESPOND. I CAN ONLY BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS IN GOD'S WELL, AS ALL THE NEEDS WERE MET. MY FIRST ESTIMATE WAS $800.00, BUT I WAS SOON BEYOND THAT, AND AS THE DAYS PASSED I COULD SEE THAT I WOULD NEED MORE MATERIAL, BUT KNOW I DIDN'T HAVE THE FUNDS AVAILIBLE. I'D CHECK MY EMAIL AT NIGHT AND LOW AND BEHOLD A NEW DONATION WOULD BE PROMISED EVERY TIME. I FINALLY JUST WENT AHEAD AND BOUGHT WHAT I NEEDED THROUGH FAITH THAT GOD WOULD PROVIDE, AND HE DID.
IT WAS AN AMAZING FEELING KNOWING THAT THIS WORK WAS BLESSED BY OUR GOD AND FATHER THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, AND THAT MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST HAD TRUSTED IN THIS CALLING OF HELP FOR A NEIGHBOR, AND THEIR NEIGHBORS LIVING BELOW THEM.strong>

I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO TOOK THE TIME TO HELP THIS FAMILY, A NEIGHBOR IN THEIR NEED.

CASA C.A.F.E. CONSTRUCTION & POLLO (CHICKEN)

HI, I PRAY YOUR HAVING A GREAT DAY.

THE CONSTRUCTION AT CASA C.A.F.E. IS GOING WELL, AS WE'RE GETTING CLOSER TO GETTING IT DONE.

I pray this update helps you better understand my mission and it's blessings to the children and families that live in dirt poverty, and the men recovering from bondage. I give thanks to all of you who support my mission in prayer and funding. Your support goes to those in need through my mission "God in Action", as directed from God.

THE MAIN STRUCTURE IS COMPLETED ACCEPT A DOOR OUR TWO AND THE ELECTRICAL WHICH WE'RE GOING TO INSTALL THIS WEEK ALONG WITH THE ROOM DIVIDERS, AND HOPEFULLY INSTALL THE ELECTRICAL YEARLY NEXT WEEK. THE MEN SHOULD BE MOVING IN TO THEIR NEW BEDROOMS BY NEXT FRIDAY. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN PRAYER AS THERE OUR A FEW OBSTACLE'S.
THERE'S 20 MEN AS OF TODAY (JULY 25), THIS IS MOST OF THEM AFTER OUR BIBLE STUDY

This is Negro(Pronounced naagro), which means black in Spanish)she guards the chickens. That is the new chicken house as of two days ago, It's now finished. Today their are 1000 baby chickens in there divided up in sections. CASA C.A.F.E. will be selling them in about 3 months, which will go a long way in support of this mission. The photos below are some of the baby chicks, some of the chickens we will be selling and Juan getting them ready for the frying pan.

OK, NOW FOR MORE GOOD NEWS; the mission team from Faith Baptist, Tenn is ready to come to Los Guizaros with a medical team and VBS and a small construction team ON AUGUST 11. I've secured the help of a local doctor to lead the medical team as needed. I have a very good translator signed up, his name is Raul, whom I have known for 4 years. He's an EX street man who lived on the streets all his life until he accepted the Lord 6 years ago. Praise God.(He's now married and has a 2 year old son, Isac)

Help needed!! The family (Cecilia) that started feeding the children in Los Guizaros over 4 years ago has had the hill behind their house partly collapse in to their home. A Day At "Camp Brittney", Gods play ground for His children

Hello my friends and family,

WOW, what can I say? On Saturday July 7, we took 34 children from Los Guizaros, to Camp Brittney, which is in the foot hills about 1 hour from San Jose' for a day of fun which included games, swimming in a pool and a creek, great food, prayer and devotional, soccer, crafts, a water ballon fight and of course a child's delight, a marshmallow roast around a fire as we gave thanks to God as we ended this day.

For all the children, this was their first time at a summer camp of any kind and none had ever swam in a creek or had a marshmallow roast over a camp fire. Camp Brittney is a childs dream come true in real life.
The joy that we(the adult staff)recieved from watching and interacting with the children throughout this day was only a smidgen of the joy and blessings the children recieved as they experianced Gods grace and love throughout this day.
I give thanks to El Lugar church for helping to make this happen. I could go on about this day, but pictures say it all!!

Dear Friends, Supporters and Family,

Where to start?? I suppose asking you to pray for the 35 plus children that will be going to Camp Brittney on July 7 for a day of fun, devotional, fellowship and prayerfully, becoming more aware of God's presence in there daily lives.

This is a photo of this weeks Bible Study, most will be going to Camp Brittney next Sat. Due to your support and a blessing from God I was able to provide food for the 60 people that will be going. Cooks, counselors/teachers, mothers make up the roaster. Cecelia(she's in front of me) who runs the kitchen and of some of these women will be helping. For most of the children, this will be their first summer camp experience.

We live with an awesome GOD>>> John and Elena (Other Missionary's) asked about renting a bus (about $165.00)for the trip. The bus owner hearing about the children, Donated a 50 passenger bus for the day. God is awesome, and I believe blessings like this confirm this mission is heading in the right direction. Ephesians 2:10 Fore we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. I pray for your continued prayers and support, and thank you for all you do.

OK< NOW>>>> CONSTRUCTION AT CASA C.A.F.E.

The new building is starting to take shape. I just ordered the bulk of the building materials needed to finish the main building. Please pray for the safety and salvation of the men at CASA C.A.F.E. who are doing the construction, welding, cutting steel and who will be installing walls soon.

We just sold most of are first batch of fresh chickens to a restaurant, which payed for the chicken feed to feed the the next 400 chickens. We were given 300 chickens as a gift, and are in the process of building a second chicken coupe, but this one will be for egg laying chickens only.
We our slowly becoming more self sufficient and it shows in the men's attitude as they see progress, with "GOD IN ACTION" all a round them!!

HO,YA...We have a new neighbor living near by!! It's a two toed sloth. Most people will never see one, let a lone touch one in the wild!!...Pretty wild uh??:>)(I have a video, but do not know how to post it yet)Any volunteers to show me??

Dear Friends and Family in Christ,

WHAT A TRIP!!! I want to thank each one of you that prayed for me, helped with funding and had me in your homes. You really did make it possible....THANK YOU!!

My time with my children and grandchildren in Sacramento was wonderful as was my visit with my mother and family in Oregon.

I had a wonderful reunion with many of you (my supporters) while visiting CA. and Tenn.
Special thanks to Liana and Steve, Bill and Wendy and Vince and Hilda for opening there homes to me while I was there, and to George S. for your friendship, support and believe in my mission.

One of my high lites was my visit to Tenn, and Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tenn where I spoke at two Sunday services. After hearing my message, another person signed up to come with the medical ,VBS and construction team, from August 11 through the 19, praise God.
"Please keep Faith Baptist in prayer as they our a church of Gods warriors, supporting and sending out missionary's to teach the gospel throughout the world."em>

And speaking of trips, the team from Texas arrived this past Sunday the 10th, for one week of hard work and a lot of love for the children and families in Los Guido, Costa Rica.

We started building the beds Monday. Brett, another missionary here in Costa Rica joined up with us and helped 4 of the 6 days in building the beds. We built the beds in a house in Los Guido. this family has received two of the bunk beds. (they have 5 children and had only two beds for all of them.)

We started delivering the beds to other families on Thursday. Everyone helped. Because it rains every day the ground is mainly mud which makes the trip down the hilly trail a little difficult, but worthwhile.

All in all they built <9> beds and delivered <6> of them before they left on a trip to the coast. There was a lot of candy, balls, tooth brushes & paste and love given out by these three young men from Texas this past week. Jon is 24, Ryan is 18 and Austin is 17 years old. and at all times we prayed with the families in thanksgiving for the beds, that God provided and His mercy and love in their lives.

I asked them why they came, and they said; "we wanted to do something for others, other than just talk about it."
And they did, Five families--twelve children, now have there own beds to sleep in and grow up in, which is also much healthier. I have four more beds to deliver next week as Team Texas fly's home from a job well done in service with God in Costa Rica.
Thank you Team Texas, jon, Ryan and Austin.

Here is a brief update on the progress of the new building of CASA C.A.F.E. while I was in the USA. The foundation has been poured. We will start framing it in two or three weeks. The bathroom floor still needs to be poured This will start next week after the Team from Texas leaves on Wed. I have not been up there to take photos yet. In my next update I will have lots photos of CASA C.A.F.E. and the new building project.

Mission needs and projects:
<1> Funds to build a community center in Los Guizaros, with rooms to teach English and Spanish and have room for a dentist chair and doctor, plus a computer training room..Ya it's BIG. And to feed the children lunch 6 days a week or more.

<2> I always need funds to buy Spanish Bibles here, or come visit and bring a bunch.

<3> On a personal note, I'm in need of some dental work, Two crowns broke off, I guess they were old. hmmm, they almost lasted for 64 years. (Birthday July 22, 1943)

<4> funds to build a block chicken house at CASA C.A.F.E. to raise chickens that just lay eggs.( This will help in the process of CASA C.A.S.E. being self sustaining.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

WHERE TO START?.....Jesus Said; ask in my name and you shall receive........

I have prayed for two years for funds to build a new dormitory to house up to 24 men in separate rooms (4 to a room) at CASA C.A.F.E. Men's Rehab Center.

PRAISE GOD!! .....The prayer has been answered.
Three weeks ago I received enough funds to start building it. This came from a friend and brother in Christ who I thank, as do all the men at CASA C.A.F.E. We prayed for him and gave thanks for God's mercy and grace in providing the means for better living conditions for His fallen children as they heal and learn to walk
as sober and drug free Christian men.

These are the men that live there now. We will be building the new addition on to the left side of the building(as your looking at it). As of now it will be 30 x 30feet with a 10ft x 6ft bathroom extended out from the back of the building where all the stuff is. We our building a large septic tank with a leech field as we speak, to conform to code.
We may need additional funding if we have to replace all the wooden bunk beds with steel frames. (code) "Let me know if you can help with this need"

MEN AT WORK >The men have been growing chickens from babies (2 months ago) and they will be ready to slaughter and eat starting this week. Some of the chicken will be used to supply Los Guizaros in the near future, (where we feed the children) a steady source of meat. Praise God! And on a daily basis the men grow there own vegetables to eat and sell to buy other supplies. (Great Therapy)!!

I just recieved word that a small , but strong mission team is going from Texas to build 10 more buck beds for the families at Los Guido from June 10 to the 20. Jon (who lead the team last year) will be bringing them again this year. (Praise God.) "That's last years team"

Also a team from Tenn, is preparing to come in August, 11th thru the 19th with a medical team, VBS and small construction team. (God is Awesome!) "That's last years team."

Please keep those men and women, (brothers and sisters) in prayer as they prepare to serve God in another Country and His children, that are in need of basic living conditions and salvation.

I am taking a trip back to Calif, from May 6 to June 7. I will be in So CA from the 7 thru the 14 of May, then off to Tenn to speak at Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett TN. (They have adopted me and my mission to support and pray for). Praise God!... Then I fly back to CA to visit my children and Grandchildren in Sacramento, CA...Then up to Oregon to a family reunion in Grants Pass OR, at my moms house. "That's my moms family (13 brothers and sisters), I'm up front left(as your looking at it) on my knees and my brother is sitting next to me with my mom, younger sister and step father over my right shoulder. I think about 1950.."

I thank you all for your prayers and support as we serve our God in Costa Rica, bringing his word to His children through love, action, prayer and God's word as it is written in the Bible.

HAPPY EASTER MY FRIENDS

Another year has just flashed by in Costa Rica, as if I'd been here all my Christian life.

This Easter Sunday as you celebrate our Lords Resurrection, I give thanks for my life, because 18 years ago to the day (1989) I was Born Again by the grace of God.

Fourteen years later the Holy Spirit opened my heart to go on mission with God while I was in Venezuela (2002) on a short term mission from Calvary Chapel Capistrano Beach, CA working with a mission supported by them, "Ninos de La Luz" in Caracas.

Four years ago I started my first year on mission with God, going to Spanish School here in Costa Rica, thinking I was going to Venezuela for a two year mission with "Ninos de La Luz".

God had other ideas, and planted me here in Costa Rica working with children and families that survive, living in dirt poverty, and with a Men's Rehab Center, and helping feeding 40 to 100 children, lunch 6 days a week, building and repairing homes plus other blessings daily.

But through and in all of this, is God's word being ministered to all His children, old and young.
So as we worship and remember why Christ died for all of us.........
PLEASE PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT HEARD THE WORD YET, AND HAVE NOT BEEN SAVED. FORE CHRIST DIED FOR THEM.

SO LET US NOT FORGET THEM (CHRIST HASN'T) AS WE GIVE THANKS FOR OUR SALVATION!!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR YOU FAITH IN CHRIST IN HELPING THIS MISSION, " GOD IN ACTION" REACH OUT TO HIS CHILDREN, DAILY.

A DAY OF ADVENTURES WITH GOD IN COSTA RICA

Dear Friends, Prayer Partners and Supporters,

I pray God has blessed each one of you in your needs and that He will strengthened us in our weaknesses so that our walk will be a light to all!!....AMEN.

This is what God did in one day of being on Missions with Him.

Adventure/Blessing #1 > I recieved a call early morning today (Tuesday) from a family that I have helped in Los Guido for over 3 years. One of the older sisters has two children (one is autistic), her name is Edie, she's 6 years old and about the size of a three year old and can't walk. They had heard that a Methodist mission in San Pedro was giving out wheelchairs to children who are autistic. They had to be there today or all would be gone. I got dressed, grabed a cup of coffee and headed out. It was about an hour ride to pick them up then go to San Pedro. We arrived in time as the mission team led by a local missionary "Charlie Strong" was giving out the wheelchairs. I think the picture tells the rest of the story. Praise God !
Today is also my day ministering at the men's rehab center in Coronado. Jason, who teaches the Bible Study (as my Spanish isn't good enough), called me this morning and tells me he can't make it due to his wife is sick and he needs to help with the baby. I can handle that.
I decided to give my testimony to the men, which I can do in Spanish. Another missionary (John) and his wife (Helen) who is a Pastor and Doctor from Korea of natural and Oriental medicine (acupuncture). also helps me every Tuesday.

Adventure/blessing #2 > We first stopped in Guadalupe at the church that helps support the C.A.F.E. ministry, because all the men from the center were helping paint the church. Paco, (he runs rehab center) has a very bad right knee and could hardly walk when we arrived. Pastor John wasted no time in getting Paco on a table and started treating him with acupuncture. After some moans and ouch's Paco emerged and could walk better with less pain., He was happy and everybody in the church office was talking about it. We arrived at the rehab center and all the men were excited about hearing my testimony and gathered to hear. I spoke about many things which touched all there hearts as the Holy Spirit directed me to many verses in Ephisians, we had a mighty prayer to finish.

Adventure/blessing #3 > Afterwards, one of the men came up to me and was weeping. He told me that he had been with God, but had given up on God for drugs and the other life. I asked him if he had ever been born again IN CHRISTand he answered no. So in my bad Spanish, I led him through the sinners prayer and he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior..Note; he only had two days at the rehab center!! God had reached out and brought home one of His sheep that had strayed. Praise God.
That's him (Roberto)in the red jacket, but he's getting acupucture treatment in the picture.

Adventure/blessing #4 > In the mean time, John had set up doctors call in the meeting area, and before you knew it there were three or four men with needles sticking in them (wondering what's with this) while exercising their hurt areas with circle motions to stretch the muscles. And others were lining up. In an hours time, John with Helen's help, had treated and helped five or six of the men and had received there trust in this very unconventional way (in Costa Rica) of doctoring, that they had never seen or experienced before.
(This was the first doctor to visit the men that I know of!)
NOTE: I had been praying for a doctor for over a year, that would help me in my mission areas...Go figure? All the way from Korea via the USA for many years and planted in Costa Rica as a missionary Pastor / Doctor. I am blessed in knowing and working with John and his wife Helen. Please keep them in prayer as they plan on staying here for at least 2 years.

Other mission news;
All the children are back in school and doing good. They always thank me for their school supplies that you helped bring to them.

That's Mark and Adrian with the children before they moved to Belize to start there own mission.
And this is the car "SUV" they blessed me with, which has already proven a great blessing to my mission.

Starting a new Bible Study " in Los Guizaros. This past week we started a new study using the "Experiencing God" work book. They are all excited as this will take them to a higher level of understanding God. Please keep the children in prayer in that they will come to a better understand of their walk with our Lord Jesus.

There are two very different Photos here. Which one do you think shines brighter in Gods eyes?
Ya, me too....I think the circle of once broken and lost men, that have found a freedom from Drugs and Alcohol through the love and mercy offered all of use through Jesus Christ is by far Brighter to God, and to His Angles, that I am sure are celebrating with these men as they pray to our Creator.

THESE MEN ARE BEING REHABILITATED AT
"CASA C.A.F.E." THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD AND THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST. YOU CAN FEEL THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT EACH DAY AS THESE MEN COME TOGETHER IN PRAYER THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND ASK GOD FOR HELP TO CHANGE WHAT THEY COULDN'T CHANGE ALONE, BEFORE !!
Not all will make through the (1) year recommended stay, but whether they stay or go, they will have heard the Gospel of Christ. And they have to take that with them, no matter what, and as you all know once you've heard the word of God and prayed to Him, it's hard to forget Him! Praise God!!
This is Oscar, he came about 5 months ago after years of drug addiction. He took over the hard and sometimes unthankful job of Cooking for the ministry every day. As you can see they use a wood stove, (can't afford propane) Oscar accepted the Lord and was faithful in reading the Bible, but missed out on a lot of the other activities and felt a little alone. I would often set with him while he was cooking the evening meal, while Jason ( the other missionary who teaches the Bible study every week) was leading/teaching the Study, we would fellowship and I would encourage him in that he was on mission with God in feeding the men and offering advise as they asked for his wisdom and that he was a vital part of the ministry.
As it some times happens, Oscar left ten days ago before I could say goodbye. I don't know why, but I do know that he is a changed man from his stay at CASA C.A.F.E. because God has changed his heart.
There are and average of 16 men here at any given time. They come here because there is no other place for them. They are broken and rejected children of our God that seek mercy. Private rehabs cost to much and government programs are full. Both have about 93% fail rate.
I don't know the fail rate at CASA C.A.F. E., but I do know that over 85% of the men accept Jesus while they're here. I think that says it all!

One of the problems here is that it is very primitive and crowded. Up to 18 men live in a 24x24ft old block barn with one bathroom for all.
They sleep on make shift bunk beds with bad foam mattresses, and yet they stay.
(it is kept clean and tidy)

One of the men (Paco) He's the little guy on the right runs the place. Paco is living proof that this ministry works, He came here 2 years ago broken and rejected. then after accepting Christ and getting off drugs and such, he desided that this was his mission. Paco has a very diverse past (crack cociane and robbery + ) and uses his experiances to minister and encourage the men. He accepted the position after the orginal founder moved on and has started another center. Paco is a good leader and example for the men to follow. Please, please keep Paco in prayer as he has a lot of responsibility and very little formal training. But He trusts in GOD and Jesus is his Lord.

It's cold every night, (it's in the foothills,) and most of the men aren't used to it, yet they stay.
The food is OK as it sustains them, mainly rice with vegetables that they grow, but with little protein accept fish head stew once and a while. Through our mission they receive, bread, cheese, some meat and 200# of rice every month.
They have no medical or dentist accept in emergency. (which is 1 hour away by bus)!

They spend there days mostly working in the field tending the crops, that so eagerly grows as the soil is very rich. They also work as volunteers for different church's and schools that need construction type help
There's a weekly prayer list, and throughout the day (hourly) a different man prays for all the men and Casa C.A.F.E.. Each man is asked to read a verse from the Bible daily, and they have devotionals daily. Weekly they have two Bible Studies. One with me and one from there church in Guadalupe and of course they fellowship throughout the day in one way or another.

GOD'S CHILDREN NEED YOUR HELP, AS DO THEIR FAMILIES WHO NEED THEIS MEN WHOLE AGAIN.

Funds to build an ad on dormintory with a larger bathroom, (about $4300.00) This is a great mission team project. The government has given CASA C.A.F.E. till the end of this year to build this or they will shut CASA C.A.F.E. down! (I could build it with funds as the labor is free!!)
Monthly support for the ministry in general>>>funds for a doctor visit during the month and to examine new arrivals, propane for cooking, food, Bibles and did I mention to pray always for His children, old and young!!

What started out to help 20 children with their school supplies and uniforms for this year, went from having just enough money to help (20 children), too enough funds to help 43 children in all.

What started as a joint venture with another mission group (they ended up not being able to help in time, if ever) ended up with an abundance of supplies to provide a backpack for most, and for all, (10) 70 page notebooks, (10) folders, (4) sets of different types of pencils, pens and colored markers, paper glue, construction paper, pencil sharpener, siccors, ruler set, some diccionaries, (I think I missed something?) for 43 children ages 6 years old (in kinder) to 17 years old in high school.

We were able to help about 22 with uniforms and 16 with shoes. Some had uniforms and shoes provided by another mission.

All this happened in two days with the help of two young Christian men, Garrett and Bret whom God has put in my path, and at just the right timing, as my back went out and I couldn't have done this without there help. I praise God for His mercy and foresight.

This was helped by supporters who throughout the year send me funds every month for school supplies for one child a month (including uniforms and shoes). I want to thank all of you who support my mission, because each one of you helped this to happen. Thank you.

But what really is awesome is how it all came together in two days while I was praying , but wondering how I was going to pull this off without the help of the other mission ....Yes I was worried!!! I am so lame at times in not remembering:

I PRAY YOUR NEW YEAR STARTED ON A GOOD NOTE.

BLESSINGS FROM A COSTA RICA MISSIONARY:
SCHOOL STARTS HERE THIS COMING MONDAY. OUR MISSION IS SUPPLYING (FOR at least 20 CHILDREN or more) SCHOOL UNIFORMS, WORK BOOKS, NOTE BOOKS , PENCILS AND OTHER SUPPLY TO HELP THEM THROUGH SCHOOL THIS YEAR. A PASTORS SON (HIS NAME IS WILL) HAS VOLUNTEERED TO HELP THROUGH HIS CHURCH AND THE COMPANY HE WORKS FOR WITH SOME UNIFORMS SHOES AND NOTE BOOKS FOR A LOT OF THE CHILDREN.
I CAN ALWAYS US MORE HELP!
HERE ARE (20 )OF THE CHILDREN WE'RE HELPING. THREE YEARS AGO MOST OF THESE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES DIDN'T HAVE A RELATION WITH JESUS. SINCE THEN, MOST HAVE BEEN BAPTISED, ATTEND CHURCH AND BIBLE STUDYS REGULARLY.
THEIR ARE MORE CHILDREN, BUT THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FUNDS FOR.
PRAISE GOD FOR THAT!!

THIS PART OF OUR MISSION IS YEAR AROUND, AND I CAN ALWAYS USE SUPPORT FOR THESE CHILDREN IN HELPING THEM HAVE A BETTER FUTURE
THROUGH EDUCATION AND JESUS CHRIST.

PLEASE PRAYER FOR THE FOLLOWING;

> PRAY FOR A HEALING ON MY BACK, ( I THROW IT OUT LAST WEEK).

>PRAY FOR THE CHILDREN AND THERE SCHOOL NEEDS AS WE PREPARE TO HAND OUT THE SCHOOL SUPPLY THIS WEEK.

>PRAY FOR A MEDICAL / DENTAL TEAM TO COME THIS YEAR.

>PRAY FOR FUNDS OR A TEAM TO BUILD A ROOM ADDITION AT THE MENS REHAB CENTER., "they live in a small ex dairy barn and have built a makshift kitchen and meeting room on that" THE HEALTH DEPT HAS GIVEN US TO THE END OF THIS YEAR TO BUILD THE ADDITION OR CLOSE UP.

>PRAY FOR A TEAM OR THE FUNDS TO BUILD A KITCHEN AT lOS GUIZAROS,(THAT'S WHERE WE FEED THE CHLDREN LUNCH 6 DAYS A WEEK)

>ALSO, I NEED NEW TIRES ON MY VEHICAL..$400.00

>PRAY FOR THE TWO YOUNG MEN ( BRENT AND GARRET)
WHO HAVE VOLUNTERED TO HELP ME WHILE THERE HERE LEARNING SPANISH.

>I'M GOING. HOME THIS MAY FOR PERSONAL REASONS AND TO VISIT MY CHILDREN AND GRANDKIDS.
